The beloved preschool series Little J & Big Cuz will return for a fifth season, continuing its celebration of First Nations stories and culture.

The new season features original cast members Miranda Tapsell, Aaron Fa’oaso, Ursula Yovich and Shari Sebbens, joined by Kartanya Manyard as the voice of Big Cuz.

The award-winning series follows Little J and Big Cuz as they embark on adventures and face the challenges of growing up, guided by their Nanna and teacher Ms Chen. The program shares authentic tales of family, friendship, community, country and culture, and has been translated into 17 First Nations Australian languages.

Little J & Big Cuz is a one-of-a-kind series, drawing on stories from First Nations writers all over the country and offering a proud and positive view of Indigenous Australia, capturing the joy and wonder of Aboriginal children discovering the world around them.

Broome-based Ramu Productions has collaborated on language versioning since Season 1 and joins Ned Lander Media as co-producer for the new season.

Little J & Big Cuz Season 5 is currently in pre-production and will air on the ABC and NITV in 2027. It is distributed internationally by the Australian Children’s Television Foundation.
